My wife and I became born again Christians in 1992 and I have been in full-time ministry for the last nineteen years. During that time God provided several unique opportunities; I went to bible college and then became the youth pastor at my local church.  I served there for approximately 4 years and in 1998 God called me to start a para-church ministry designed to reach the youth of public schools. Face It! Ministries was born and we have been serving the youth of this community ever since.

Steven Farmer

Operations Director

I graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 2013 and Southeastern Louisiana University in 2017 with a degree in Communications. I grew up in a Christian family and have felt called into ministry since the age of six. My parents have been a major influence in my life and have taught me everything I know about Christ. I feel that in high school, God truly put it on my heart to reach teenagers. After seeing the struggles they endure, it caused me to want them to know God. So many teenagers do not even know how to pray. Young people are constantly trying to fit in and be loved, but struggle to find who or what can give them the identity and purpose they seek. I want to let them know that only God can provide that, that the struggles they endure, the temptations they face, and the dreams they have for themselves can be achieved through a relationship with Him.

Club Facilitator

Hi, my name is Micah Farmer, and I have volunteered with Face It! Ministries since graduating from high school in 2017. I grew up in a Christian home and made the greatest decision to give my life to Jesus when I was six years old. As my dad is a pastor, I have grown up serving in the church for most of my life. My other passion is the exhilarating sport of soccer. I started playing soccer at a very young age and fell in love with the game. I had dreams of playing in college and maybe even professionally. However, all of that changed when I tore my ACL during a game during my sophomore year of high school. It was this time of my life when I encountered Jesus and He rearranged my passions into what He had planned all along. As I approached high school graduation. I knew that I had to make some life decisions. God then confirmed in me that I was to be in full time ministry. Being able to work full time for Face It! Ministries provides me the opportunity to introduce Jesus to young people who don't know Him and allow God to use me to bring the hope and joy of the Gospel into their lives.
